False Positive alerts on httpd monitoring

We are seeing a lot of false positive alerts monitoring httpd on our main web servers. This has happened on these two machines on all zenoss versions since V2.3.  The OS process registers as /usr/sbin/httpd which is correct and always monitors properly.  However, we get alerts consistently saying httpd is down.  For the process setup we have tried the regex as just httpd and as ^.*\/*httpd, it doesn't seem to matter.  I have remodelled the devices numerous times, deleted the OS process, added it back manually, had it added back by remodelling. I've also locked the process, and had them unlocked.  It doesn't seem to matter what I do, the OS tab shows that /usr/sbin/httpd is up and running properly, but I get tons of alerts saying process httpd is down.

I have searched for solutions but found none.  I am running V2.5.1 now.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
